As Group's historical and technological cradle, The Europe Africa Region serves all Vallourec's markets from its production and service units. The industrial activities include rolling mills, heat treatment, finishing and specialty plants.

Listed on the Paris Stock Exchange since 1937, Vallourec operates ten industrial French sites and two R&D centers. The Group's headquarter is located in France, as well as the Global Departments and transversal Functions, which are responsible in particular for commercial development, innovation, strategy and industrial performance.

Vallourec employs 3000 people in France.

The name Vallourec is based on the first three letters of three cities in the Hauts-de-France region: (VALenciennes, LOUvroil and RECquignies).
Our activities
It was in France that Vallourec's teams designed the VAM® joint, the first premium OCTG connection. Today, the Group relies on a pole of excellence consisting of two R&D centers and test units in Aulnoye-Aymeries to develop new products for its international customers. Today, the Group's pioneering spirit is also reflecting in the teams in charge of developing a new range of services reinforced by the latest digital technologies and of implementing our 4.0 industry initiatives.

Industrial operations rely on strong sinergies between Vallourec Tubes France's units, that carry out finishing operations (heat treatment and threading), and the rolling mills based in Düsseldorf, Germany. These operations go along with specialized industrial and commercial units for the markets of mechanical bearing tubes (Vallourec Bearing Tubes), of tubes for offshore umbilicals (Vallourec Umbilicals), of steam generator tubes for nuclear power plants (Valinox Nucléaire) and shaped tubes (Forge PFP®).
